we ordered three hay feeders, and unfortunately, one of our horses broke the snap ring on one, so we need a repair/replacement but are happy they work as expected...the horses obviously are enjoying them too much! michael

Works for goats!
This bag slowed my greedy goats and limited the amount of hay that they waste. It works. And they don't get tangled in it even when they put their feet up on the bag.

I love these bags! I have several different types but these are by far the easiest to load. I use 3, two a day for my easy keeper quarter horse and one for my trailer.

Priced well
I got the Hunter green one. Decent nylon webbing, good heavy Ds. And will fit 3 4in. Flakes of Alfalfa. The backing is not my favorite but once its worn out later down the road any saddle shop can stitch suede or heavy canvas backing to it. Also I've had these webbed bags before, if a horse tears a webbing strap, a saddle shop can patch them easily. These last alot longer than the single hole canvas or nets do with rough horses. Also you can hang from a panic snap, just in case a horse puts it's feet where it doesn't belong. Because this heavy nylon webbing is not going to break easily.

Love this slow feeder. Durable front that I don’t think my horses can break. Only drawback is the back is solid but doesn’t look too durable. Nice rings on the bottom so you can clip or tie it down so that it doesn’t turn

Hope this isnt your experience!!
Well, while it looked well made, my horse made short work of it. Basically tore it to pieces in less than 10 hours!!

My horse had trouble pulling the stiff stemmed alfalfa. It was fine for the orchard hay and really slowed his consumption. I wish it was two sided and the snaps were just a little bigger. I will add a couple carabiners to make it easier to snap. Also, I would like to have more color options.

Best Hay Bag I've Ever Used
Best hay bag Ive ever used. Durable and long lasting. I've had one for over 3 years and it's still in good shape. Wouldn't have any other kind

Great slow feeder
Had bought a couple of these last year and they have held up very well. When I saw they went on sale had to have one for each stall so I would not have to keep switching. Great product for the price

Perfect for my small pony!
The holes are the perfect size for him to eat his hay but also keep him occupied without his dropping huge amounts on the ground like the big hay bags do.

Worth the buy
The bag does the job. Let's be honest, it won't last 10 years but I have mine for two years, they are rubbed of a bit in the back but I believe I will get 4 years out of them. At 18$ it a hell of a deal. One advice tho, get good hardware that you will hook to the actualites snaps that hold the bag, the bust easy. I recommand

An awesome bag, but...
I agree with the other poster, a great bag, but the plastic backing started peeling off. Not sure if my mare did it or just how it started peeling, but it is. Please pass on to Gatsby. Would give 5 stars if this were fixed.

has one huge flaw
Bought two of these bags and the same thing happened to both. The inside of the solid fabric back has an adhered plastic lining. After a very short time this plastic interior backing started ripping and peeling. I finally just had to sit down and take (peel) the backing off each bag as I feared my horse would ingest it. For this reason I have not been happy with the quality of these bags. In addition to the peeling problem the snaps used on the straps broke also, not sturdy enough for the purpose of these bags.

Navy gatsby hay bag
Very nice hay bag in looks , and how it's made. Hold a good bit of hay and my horses love it. I like that there is not a lot of waste of the hay.

It has great potential but didn't hold up after two weeks of use.....
Pros: Size of openings and overall size of feeder.
Cons: Stitching came apart after just two weeks of use along the bottom which caused one buckle attachment to rip off. Also, would work better if include more straps for hanging as the bag flops all over.
Comments: Suggest manufacturer double-stitch the top and bottom of the bag where extra tension is exerted against the rings when a horse pulls hay from the feeder. Also would appreciate at least one more strap for hanging purposes.

QUALITY, VALUE, BEAUTIFUL
Pros: VERY strong and well made. We have horses, but I decided to use this for our dairy goats and it works fantastic!
Cons: There is nothing NOT to like about this bag, PERFECT!
Comments: Don't hesitate to buy this bag, you won't be sorry!

A fraction of the price!
Pros: This item is so sturdy. Made comparable to hay feeders that are twice the price. I've been using this for weeks and it has held up great so far. The stitching is tight and appears it will hold up for years. Item holds about 2 flakes which lasts for a while as the horses are working a bit more to get their food.
Comments: I'm going to be purchasing more of these!
